Aurora Glass Art came on the heels of decades in the marketing
and fashion industries. Over the years, Patti developed a love of glass and
made a hobby of learning everything she could about it. Out of a hobby grew
a business. Patti's involvement in each individual step, from designing to
shipping, assures that every customer is made to feel as unique and special
as the glass art they will receive. Superb customer service is the rule at
Aurora Glass Art, not the exception. Handwritten personal notes accompany
each order, and you will always find a human voice on the other side of the
phone whenever you call. Doing business the way she would want business done
has led Aurora Glass Art to success. To Patti, it's not the quantity of customers
that matters, but the quality of those customer relationships. It is this ideal
that has provided Aurora Glass Art with a firm, loyal, and ever-growing customer
base year after year.
Each piece of Aurora Glass Art is distinct. No two creations
are ever exactly alike, adding to the interesting beauty and value of Patti's
work. In any given square inch, you may find fifteen to thirty hand cut pieces
of glass intricately combined to form a breathtaking mosaic of color and light.
Once the glass is cut and pieced together, fusion takes place in one of three
custom designed kilns. This requires much patience and painstaking attention,
for the slightest variation in time or temperature can change a piece drastically.
The entire process is done in a way that hundreds of glass stones can be made
simultaneously without compromising their individuality. Patti's methods have
allowed her to realize her goal of bringing gallery worthy art into everyday
life so that more people might experience the magic of glass.
Inspiration for many of the pieces found in the Aurora studio
comes from Patti's extensive travel experiences. Worldwide exposure has provided
her with an enlightened outlook and numerous resources. While traveling abroad,
she noticed the high quality silver work coming out of Bali, Indonesia. After
much research, Patti set up her own business, which now employs more than thirty
handpicked silversmiths. Each piece of Aurora jewelry is placed in a silver
setting created especially for that particular piece of glass. Attention is
paid to every tiny detail; rings on charms are not just pressed closed but
actually soldered shut, and each semi-precious accent stone is precisely cut
and exquisitely set. This passion for perfection, along with Patti's global
insight, indisputably sets Aurora Glass Art apart from all others.
Whether Admiring a piece of her jewelry or marveling at one
of her home decor creations, Patti Quinn is sure to astound you with the
splendor that can be revealed through glass. Thank-you for exploring the
world of Aurora Glass Art. Enjoy today.
